Koulunsaaret
Three-island excursion site in Längelmävesi
What to expect from Koulunsaaret?
The School Islands are a unique entity in the Längelmävesi archipelago – three separate but complementary islands form a diverse and memorable destination for day hikers and overnight visitors.
Equipment
The two largest islands offer camping and camping facilities, fireplaces and practical amenities such as a wood stove and water point. The third, smaller rocky loch is an ideal place to take a break and swim, for example during a kayaking trip.
All the islands are accessible by canoe or boat, and a pontoon bridge, due to open in summer 2025, will connect the rocky cove with one of the larger islands, allowing easy movement between them.
A sauna can be delivered to the beach on request – the perfect addition to camping life or to top off a day out.
- Tented accommodation on two islands
- The fireplace on each island
- WC and drinking water point on two islands
- Sauna available for pre-order
- Pontoon Bridge (to be completed in summer 2025)
